This weekend I didn't accomplish as much as I hoped because it was the first Mardi Gras weekend. After too much fun Saturday night, it took me till Monday to fully recover. I did finish the tea towels I talked about before.
There's my tea towel with my Monday morning breakfast, tea and toast with ketchup and bacon jam (I'll explain the ketchup later). Actually, I got a lot done on Monday. Scott and I did a little bit of spring cleaning. We cleaned out our closet, getting rid of about half our wardrobes. I finally got rid of clothes that I've had for almost a decade. Then it was off to sewing! I'm a third of the way through with my quilt top. I'm really loving it. Unfortunately I ran out of fabric. I'll be picking up more today.
I did finish one project : crocheted Adipose! Doctor Who is kind of a big deal in my house. Netflix made us addicted to the BBC staple. We're so addicted that Scott made a wooden Tardis (seen with my Adipose) that we used as our Christmas tree topper. I got the free Adipose pattern from Ravelry.com (a social media site for knitters and crocheters).
This is a scene from the episode with the Adipose. Mine isn't quite as fat as the actual fat baby aliens. It is one of my favorite episodes. I loved the character of Donna. She was so much fun and most of the episodes she was in weren't as dark as others. I am a little sad, though, I thought the new season started this month, but no! It starts next month. Boo. Another month to wait. It's a good thing I started to re-watch last season.
